What Precautions Are Associated with Quillivant XR?
Quillivant XR should be stored in a secure place out of the reach of children and at room temperature. Your Quillivant XR prescription should not be shared with anyone, even someone with ADHD, as sharing prescription medication is illegal and can cause harm.
Quillivant XR should not be taken if any of the following conditions are present: allergy or hypersensitivity to methylphenidate or any of the ingredients in Quillivant XR medications, or if monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are being taken.
Caution should be exercised when taking Quillivant XR if there is a history of heart or mental problems or circulation problems.
If pregnancy is being considered, the use of Quillivant XR should be discussed with the doctor. It is not known if it will cause fetal harm. Quillivant XR is passed through breastmilk, so it is recommended that mothers do not nurse while taking it.
Careful consideration of potential side effects such as decreased appetite, weight loss, and trouble sleeping.
Regular evaluation for mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, tics, and Tourette’s syndrome.
